The people of St. Thomas’ will be hosting the first ever parish festival in December of this year. The objective of the festival is to provide opportunities that seek to enhance community spirit.
The festival will be held under the patronage of the Hon. Joseph Parry and will run from December 20-23, 2007 at the Cotton Ground Recreational Ground. A number of persons from Cotton Ground, Jessups, Barnes Ghaut, West Bury and Craddock Road have defined and compiled a list of activities intended for the occasion. They include an Opening/Family Night, Calypso Show, Queen Show, Jouvert and Fun Day. Plans are speedily on the way with promotion and a quest for sponsorship.
The first fundraiser will be on Saturday October 13, 2007 with a BBQ at the Cotton Ground Junction on the main road (Five Turning).
