By The Observer Staff (Charlestown, Nevis) – Police expect charges to be brought against a suspect now in custody for the Friday night strong-arm robbery of a downtown Charlestown businesswoman. Sherry Gajor, owner of Sherry’s Beauty World, was attacked from behind as she locked the door to her business about 8 p.m. on Nov. 14. The business is located in Solomon’s Arcade. According to police, she was knocked to the ground by a lone attacker. He took her purse containing cash, credit cards and other valuables before fleeing the scene. Ms. Gajor sustained minor injuries in the attack, a police spokesman said. Ms. Gajor’s son and another woman were at the scene, but were not harmed. The suspect will likely face a charge of robbery. Police are not releasing the name of the suspect at this time.
