TRAVEL by Eric Mackenzi Lamb
A few months ago, while visiting Toronto, Canada, I took the opportunity to visit one of the city’s most famous tourist attractions- the CN tower.
The experience was amazing. At 1,465 feet in height, the tower is higher than the Ostankino tower in Moscow, 300 ft taller than the New York City Empire State Building, and more than 500 ft taller than the Eiffel Tower in Paris. And even more astonishing, you can actually feel the building sway during high winds. On a clear day, you can even see places over 100 miles away, including Niagara Falls and New York State.
(The only other structure which is taller is Buj Khalifa in Dubai.)
And talk about bravery: a man named Dan Goodwin used only his hands and feet to climb the outside of the tower to its full height. For his descent, he used a parachute which he opened about 50 feet above the ground which enabled him to land safely.
Another amazing experience was taking the elevator from the ground floor to the top of the tower. The elevator had a glass floor which enabled one to see the surrounding views as you ascended. (Definitely not for anyone who suffers from vertigo!)

Myself and a long time friend, Bruce Rosenkrantz, in the panoramic viewing lounge at the top of the tower.
