BOY GROUP

‘De Boyz Entertainment’ group is out to show the Federation that a group of young men can come together to do something positive.

Ashmo Dorset, Michael Richardson, Oral Roberts, Tinero Connor, Michael Kelly, Anthony Huggins and Dwayne Challenger are the seven members of this group.

All are upstanding, positive, gainfully employed and well-known young men of the Federation.

The main goal of the group is to have a positive impact on society while turning a profit.

De Boyz Entertainment was the brainchild of Dorset and Richardson as they tried to figure a business they could start.

‘We knew that whatever business we started, we would need serious guys to be members,” said Dorset. “We pitched the idea to some of our close friends, they signed on and we haven’t looked back since.”

Each member brings something different to the group, although they work as a team. Richardson is the Treasurer, Huggins is a P.R.O., Tinero is a Connor, etc.

“We have official titles but everyone does a bit of everything,” said Roberts. “We all do whatever it takes to make our venture successful.”

So far the group has held two take-away dinners — one in February and one earlier this month, with both events being successful.

The ‘boyz’ hope to have another social event within the next few months.

Huggins noted that they were a fledgling group, having begun some six months ago. “Right now we are trying to become known around the country. People already know us individually, but most don’t know we’ve formed this group.” he said.

‘De Boyz Entertainment’ plans to donate some of its earnings at the end of the year. The members are currently in the process of choosing a worthy cause. They also plan to do charitable work and community service in attempt to uplift their society.

“We want the young people to be able to look up to us for our positive roles in the society. We also want the adults to be proud of us as young entrepreneurs.” Dorset said. “Whatever we embark on, we know we want to do our best to improve our country in some way, even if it’s just on a small scale.”
