(Charlestown, Nevis) ” The Zone One Auto parts store at the intersection of Pump and Craddock Roads was hit by thieves last week, who made off with a considerable amount of consumables. They entered through a bathroom window at the rear of the business, according to one employee. “They had to be small because it is a very small window,” she said. The owner of the business has since replaced with brick the wood slats the burglars removed to gain entry. No auto parts were taken, but several cases of motor oil were. “They took the most expensive oil ” two cases of Syntech, several cases of Castrol and some quarts of Shell,” she said. In addition to the motor oil, the thieves seem to have a bit of a sweet tooth because they stole a case of Oreo cookies, a case of Munch candy bars and a case of Red Bull. A minor undisclosed sum of cash was also stolen. “I don’t know what is wrong with these young people today. Nobody wants to work, they just want to steal,” she said. The police were summoned and came to take a report, according to the employee. The Observer would like to ask all robbery victims to call us with their stories, because the Nevis police will only confirm information that we have from another source.
