Bladder Problems

The gallbladder is the organ which absorbs inorganic bile salts and water and helps in contracting movement to release bile, the digestive enzyme. This article discusses the different gallbladder problems to identify the symptoms of such gallbladder problems.

Before going into the problems and symptoms, it would be wise to know briefly about the gallbladder biologically.

Gallbladder

This organ is a muscular membranous sac under the liver that stores and concentrates bile. The shape is that of a pear and it’s expandable. It holds approximately 50ml of fluid. The basic function of its inner surface is to absorb inorganic salts and water from the bile, which becomes more concentrated than it was when in the liver. It can also contract to discharge the bile through the bile duct into the duodenum.

Due to its typical anatomy, it throws some problems which are discussed below along with a few symptoms. The problems and the symptoms are described in tandem.

Gallbladder problems

They normally are of the following types:

1. There are several disorders corresponding to gallbladder and the disease following the problems can be very painful and dangerous.

2. Gallbladder problems often start within the body due to common reasons like obesity, heredity, improper and irregular diet habits.

3. There is no particular reason which initiates the gallbladder problems. But it is a mix or sometimes caused due to even minute problems like hormonal disorder or silly infections.

4. The basic and root cause of a typical gallbladder problem is often the gallstone.

5. A gallstone is a harder mass, normally a solid crystalline substance consisting of the substances like cholesterol, calcium, blood, bile etc. These stones are formed in the gallbladder and travel into the small intestine where they start causing intense problems.

6. The medical term of gall bladder disease is Cholelithiasis, which refers to gallstones and cholecystitis, which means an infected gallbladder.

7. The risk of gallstones is often enhanced by liver problems and anemia.

8. When gallstones tend to block the flow of stream/bile between gallbladder and small intestine, the problem intensifiesÖ Often leading to serious lever problems.

9. As it is known, jaundice disease occurs due to gallbladder problems. When the liver is traumatized, skin color deteriorates to yellow, mucous membranes and eyes get white, and several blood tissues get badly infected.

10. Bile is that fluid which helps in breaking down the big fatty food particles and helps in proper digestion. As gallstones block the way, the food remains improperly fragmented, giving rise to all these problems.

11. Another problem it causes is it may reduce the blood pressure abruptly and heart pumping speeds enhances vigorously at times.

Gall Bladder Symptoms

Now letís try to get some information regarding the Gall bladder symptoms that are often carried with the gallbladder problems and dysfunctions.

1. On the right side of the rib cage, the feeling of severe pain initiates, initiating in moderation. With acute pain radically moving to different parts of the body like hands, shoulders or creating severe back ache at later stages.

2. The gallbladders symptoms can be imagined if there is constant sever pain in the biliary colic, i.e. on the upper abdominal part; which is often ignored.

3. Several common symptoms like nausea, vomiting or gas; which are often under the misconception of general diseases can often be prime symptoms of gallbladder problems arising out of the malfunctions.

4. Gall bladder problems can be very dangerous at later stages, if not treated properly. The symptoms of gallbladder are not instantaneous, they are chronic in nature. People suffering from gall bladder problems often complain about indigestion, gas, not adapt to digest fatty foods.

5. Most possibly these symptoms occur when gallstone, viz. absurd stones flowing inside the gallbladder get trapped inside the bile duct.

6. In even worse conditions, these symptoms often lead to change in color of the skin, thatís the skin changes to yellow and often whites of eyes symptoms get started when the bile pigment tends to be in higher amount inside the stream.

7. The pain often tends to get increased after a meal of some higher amount of fat and high on these factors. But this canít be the deciding factor as it is not the sole symptom of gallbladder problem.

8. The pain can go notch higher if the patients tend to inhale deeply or so, causing enormous difficulty to deal with the disease.

9. The pain mostly is symptomized in the form of attacksÖ There is no specified duration of the attack. It can be of few minutes, and at the same time, it can last up to hours and hours altogether.

10. There can be marked change in the color and nature of the stool. The stool changes to lighter color and is often followed with diarrhea and constipation.

11. Often what is considered as symptoms of nausea and cold can be due to the gallbladder problems. Like pain on the brows of eyes or abrupt fluid coming after eating unhealthy food often show the symptoms of gallbladder problems.

12. Terming some common medical symptoms of gallbladder symptoms , we need to mention biliary pancreatitis, choledocholithiasis, asymptomatic cholelithiasis, biliary colic etc to name a few.
