UNESCO Transculture Call To Young Caribbean Solo Musicians

Castries, St. Lucia – The Saint Lucia National Commission for UNESCO is pleased to invite applications for participation in the Chigiana Summer Academy 2024.

The programme which is funded by the European Union and implemented by the UNESCO Regional Office in Havana has partnered with the prestigious Accademia Musicale Chigiana to provide young Caribbean music talents the unprecedented opportunity to take one of the available courses as part of the Chigiana Summer Academy 2024, from July 4 to September 2, in the city of Siena, Italy.

The call is aimed at solo musicians – either singers or instrumentalists – from ages 18 to 35 years. This opportunity consists of free online application, sponsorship of international travel to Siena, meals per day and daily transportation; along with full access to professional networking and performance activities during your artistic residency in Siena.
