There seems to be no end in sight to the rash of gun crimes plaguing St. Kitts as two more men were hospitalized after being shot.
According to police reports, Shawn ‘5 Pack’ Rogers of Conaree and Marvin Lewis of Government Road Nevis were sitting in a rental car near to Ms. Ferdinand’s shop situated in Conaree on the island’s main road when a lone gunman opened fire on the vehicle.
Police received the report around 10 p.m. that two men were being treated for gunshot wounds at the emergency room of J.N.F. Hospital.
According to reports reaching this paper, the shooting that left the tow men with multiple gunshot wounds may have been an act of retaliation within a certain Conaree family. Police continue to investigate the incident.
In an unrelated incident, security forces shot Ivan James last Thursday at about 4:30 p.m. James alias ‘Collogy’ or ‘Kebo’ was wanted by police on the charge of house breaking and larceny committed Aug 18, 2007. According to a police release, the 43 year-old was considered ‘armed and dangerous’.
James, who was seen in the Westbourne Ghaut area, reportedly ran when the officers approached him. The officers pursued the wanted man through an alley and in the process of trying to apprehend him, he attacked one the officers.

He was arrested and taken by E.M.S to the J.N.F Hospital where he is currently detained.
