A 69-year-old man has been formally charged with murder in connection with the death of a woman in New Road, St Kitts, last weekend.
Aubrey Clation Webster, also known as ‘Katuba’, of Brooklyn, New York and St Kitts, was charged with the offence at the Basseterre Police Station on April 7, 2025. The charge follows the fatal stabbing of 60-year-old Isalin Cassandra Pitt-Garnette at her home in the New Road Housing Development.
According to police, the incident occurred on April 5, when Mrs Pitt-Garnette sustained multiple stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem examination later revealed that the cause of death was hypovolemic shock due to the injuries sustained.
Authorities have not disclosed further details about the circumstances surrounding the incident or the relationship between the victim and the accused.
Investigations are ongoing.
