The 2009-2010 dance recital By the Youth Outreach Dance Ministry comes off this Saturday January 30, 2010 at the Sir Cecil Jacobs Auditorium starting 7:30pm under the theme, “WHAT THE LORD HAS DONE.” The students who hail from various denominations throughout the federation are ready and geared up to showcase brand new pieces including ballet. The ministry is a Christian dance school for young people between ages 5-19. Interested persons can contact Ms Caines at 663-7847. Ms Andrea Caines, director and choreographer of this ministry said the talented and dynamic dancers have been working tirelessly around the clock to get this event underway. “It’s a good opportunity to show what the underground dance community is doing and how we’re thriving through creativity,” said Ms Caines. She indicated that the dance concerts are held annually as a means to showcase the talented choreographer and dancers in St. Kitts. Ms Caines also said the ministry will be having their fourth graduation ceremony under the theme, “I AM SPECIAL,” on Saturday 6th February at the Zion Moravian Church starting at 7pm. A love offering will be collected. Special appearances By the Rising Sons will also be made on stage with their beautiful voices. The ministry thanks the following persons who have made this concert a success: His Excellency, Sir Cuthbert Sebastian, St. Kitts Credit Union, St. Kitts & Nevis National Bank, Nesry Enterprises, Island Bakeries, and Clifford Thomas; Ms Dian Pringle and Mrs. Olivia Dias-Taylor for the preparation of costumes; their fans, well-wishers, supporters, and parents for their continued support over the years.
