This past Saturday, NHCS proudly hosted the Bath Hotel Restoration Ceremony & Cocktail, celebrating the revival of one of the Caribbean’s most extraordinary historic landmarks — widely regarded as the oldest hotel in the Caribbean.
Friends, partners, community members, and distinguished guests gathered “in their dan dan” to mark this milestone. collaboration, and dedication to preserving the Bath Hotel, a structure built around 1800 by enslaved Africans over Nevis’ famed hot spring. The evening honoured the many hands and hearts behind this labour of love: More than stone and mortar, this restoration preserves a powerful symbol of memory and resilience, ensuring that the 200 year old Bath Hotel, built adjacent to Nevis’ famed hot spring, continues to serve as a place for learning, reflection, and cultural engagement. Thank you to everyone who stood with us to celebrate the past, honour the present, and look boldly toward the future of Bath Hotel. |
